Eishu Maniya (1871-1945)

He was the former superintendent priest
of the Rinzai sect Houkou temple sect .
He was born in Aichi Prf. in 1871.
He studied Zen with Shaku Souen .
He endeavored to the propagation of Buddhism.
He died in 1945 at the age of 75. |
