The soldier scholar/Gunnery scholar in the Edo period last stage. He was born in Nagasaki in 1797. He learns the gunnery of the West from the Dutchman and purchase the gun from the foreign country and endeavor to the production. He be the forerunner of modern gunnery. He died in 1866 at the age of 69. |
