Chokunyu Tanomura (1817-1907)
He was the artist of Nanga.
He was born in Ooita Pref. in 1817.
He studied painting with Chikuden Tanomura
and became his foster child.
After, he endeavored to the improvement of Nanga
,
the Nanga school was opened in the home.
He died in 1907 at the age of 94.
