Zuiko Chingyu (1743-1822)
A monk of the Soto sect in the late Edo period.
Born in Kumamoto
He became a disciple of Shozanji Ryoten in Yamaguchi Prefecture and succeeded
him.
After that, he lived in Yamaguchi/Myoonji, Kumamoto/Kannonin, Tokoji, Nagano/Zenkyuin,
Gifu/Ryushinji, Osaka/Hokkeji, Aichi/Manshoji, etc.
He was very good at drawing.
He died in 1822 at the age of 80
