Taien Buttsu ( ? - 1825)


 A Soto Zen monk from the late Edo period.
 His secular surname and birthplace are unknown.
 He became a monk and studied under Tomon Eisai,
 and later lived at Eishoji Temple in Yamashiro Province.
 During the Bunsei era, he founded Komyo-ji Temple in Arima, Settsu.
 His Zen style was so strict that he was known as the Tiger Buttsuu
 Died in 1825 (Bunsei 8).
