Gyokudo Kawai (1873-1957)

  Japanese artist.
  He was born in Aichi Prf. in 1873
  and studied painting with Bairei Kouno and Gaho Hashimoto.
  He is considered one of the three great masters of Japanese painting,
  along with Taikan Yokoyama and Seiho Takeuchi .
  He died in 1957 at the age of 83.
